Der Trolleybus im holländischen Arnheim
Gab es einst 3 Oberleitungsbus-Betriebe in Holland so gibt es heute nur mehr einen aber der entwickelt sich prächtig. Die Rede ist vom Oberleitungsbus in Arnheim, der Hauptstadt der Provinz Gelderland. Neben den Autobussen sind es die Obusse, welche die Hauptlast des ÖPNV in der über 170.000 Einwohner zählenden Stadt am Niederrhein bewerkstelligen.
Das aktuell bestehenden Netz von ca. 70 km soll kräftig ausgebaut werden und neue Fahrzeuge sind dazu bereits bestellt. Nicht mehr Hess und Solaris werden den Ton angeben sondern die Busse aus China namens Yutong.

The trolleybus in Arnhem, Netherlands
While there were once three trolleybus systems in the Netherlands, today there is only one, but it is thriving. We’re talking about the trolleybus system in Arnhem, the capital of the province of Gelderland. Alongside regular buses, trolleybuses handle the bulk of public transport in this city of over 170,000 inhabitants on the Lower Rhine.
The existing network of approximately 70 km is slated for significant expansion, and new vehicles have already been ordered. No longer will Hess and Solaris be the dominant brands; instead, the buses from China, called Yutong, will be operating the system.
